My Journey in Fashion

Although I have been in the fashion industry since the early 1990s, I have been working on the coast and serving this community as a seamstress/designer since 2018, initially from my fifth-wheel trailer! Then I worked at Bergner Dry-cleaning in Sechelt until I opened my own shop in 2020. I now work from home again and love the flexibility this allows me.

Passion for Fashion

I have always worked in fashion and clothing. My career has spanned merchandising and purchasing for stores to working on set in the film and television industry. I began as a seamstress for a vintage store, and I still feel thrilled when I can give old treasures new life.

Collaboration and Mentorship

I have partnerships with many other makers and craftspeople, with whom I collaborate and learn from. Most recently, I worked with Pam Magee from Magee Cloth. We collaborated on designs and projects, and my pieces made with her beautiful fabric are very popular! I love mentoring and teaching and have opened my studio to many other makers. I am always looking for creative people to share ideas with.

I have been sewing and working in fashion for over 25 years. My knowledge of style and business is extensive. I know fabric and materials, how they behave, and how they need to be treated.
